They should trial a change to a four-term year for a period of five years.
During the third year, aim to decide whether to continue after that period, on the basis of consultation with stakeholders and assessment of the impact on student learning and welfare.
- This is a rare educational issue in which a change is REVERSIBLE, so let's try it yet ensure term dates are always known a couple of years in advance, monitor its effects and settle the issue once and for all.
